Snow Basin Ski Resort

To our surprise they were still having music in the hills at the ski lodge. Look at all the cars

The colors were a bit deeper in color up here on the slopes

It was a beautiful day, many families were up here having a picnic, kids playing frisbee, etc. and folks listening to the music

One of several fireplaces inside Earl's Lodge

Just from what we saw in these areas, the rooms in the lodge must be pretty fancy along with a price tag to match the elegance

Inside some cases were medals won by the U.S Olympic Ski Team when the winter games were held here (wouldn't/couldn't photograph them because of the sun and glare, etc.)

Many people were like us, just taking a ride up to see the leaves and colors

This is Pineview Reservoir, when we were here in May it was much higher but like most of the west it has been a very dry summer

Ogden Canyon

While at Charlies in Utah, we took another trip up to Ogden Canyon
to see what the colors might be. Road hasn't changed, still curvy,
 no bicycle racers this time.

Again, the west doesn't have all the pretty maples, mostly
Aspen (aka white birch).

Not many trees (mostly pine) up at these elevations but the
colors are just beginning to show.

Cattle don't seem to care about the weather changing.

Road up to the ski resort

Now we've seen this area in the spring and fall. I DO NOT
want to see what it looks like in the winter

Me and my rocky cliffs, can't resist them
(but I wouldn't want to climb them)

Car Club on Antelope Island

While in Utah we took a ride out to Antelope Island as we always do so we could see the animals. To our surprise there was a car club out at the visitor's center. Here are some of the cars that stood out to me.

This mustang's license plate says it all.

At the top of the plate it says: "Pam's Pony. On the bottom in red it says: "I Go Topless"

Indain Hoop Dancer, Cave Creek

We have seen this dance a couple of times now, it is really
enjoyable to watch. You need to count the hoops on the ground.
He picks the hoops up with his feet and works
them up his legs
Hope you enjoy the rest of the pics

I am still trying to figure out how he did this.
Yes you are very good!

Indian dancing, Cave Creek

We were treated to three Indian dancers, this one had the
best outfit of the three and he did the newest dance
As you can see his outfit was really beautiful
The fella with the mic did the hoop dance, which I will do a
 separate blog on
This dancer did a dance done by the Indian scouts,
or the first one's to arrive at a location.
Two of the outfits the dancers wore
These dancers moved with ease on the soft sand,
 I was really impressed
 He was very entertaining

This dancer was in motion all the time he
 was dancing
He had to stay in beat with the drummer
He did a great job, and he stopped with the drummer,
very enjoyable to watch.
