North to Utah

The Arizona desert (off of US 93 hasn't changed much, just the view because of the weather. This is the beginning of a cold front moving into Arizona as we are heading north up to St. George, Utah

The winding roads also haven't changed, still not a road for one to take a nap on or text on their phone

Scene as we approach the new bridge over the Colorado River that hovers over Hoover Dam

Can't see very much while driving over the bridge but you can see how low the river is

Here you see the tourists walking onto the bridge. This is the best way to get a good view of the dam, etc. HOWEVER, the best view can be had by taking a boat ride on Lake Meade or rafting down the river to the dam

Lake Meade also is very low this year

Approaching Las Vegas you can see the skyline and the many hotels/casinos

Same cold front moving into the area as we travel on down the highway

The desert does need more rain as you can see how dry the grasses are

I still can't help but take picture of some of these fabulous rock formations we pass through

The scenery is really worth the trip

Mother Nature's handiwork

OK, who put these rock tables up there??
