More of the Florence area

Both Jo and I, took alot of opportunities to take in the beauty of the ocean shoreline, sometimes the path was sand, other times stairs or rocks. As you can see Jo had a vest on this day, most days were cool in the mornings, but got a little warmer as the day went on.
From this photo you can see some of the sand dunes, you may or may not know this area of the Oregon coast is where the Oregon sand dunes are mainly located To me this was just a neat photo opp.
This photo was taken from Old Town Florence of the old bridge that crosses the Siuslaw river
The folks there have this nice little park, with some park benches where they can sit and enjoy the river.
Just looking up river from the area that Jo was at in the previous photo. there were several restaurants along the river (building at the end has a huge outside dining area).
I just liked the statue, what can I say.
As one would think the area is known for its fishing, hence fishing boats, a walk down this pier and one could buy the fresh catch of the day.
This grass in the front, was planted back in the 60's to help with controlling the sand, now it has become a real problem. This view shows grass, green shurbs, sand dunes, blue skies and moutains, what's left.
On a drive down a dirt road we came across a public fishing pier, most folks where crabbing.
One of the many jetties we saw.
