This is an aerial photo of the Two Harbors ports.
Two Harbors was celebrating their heritage days the weekend we visited. Of course, all celebrations must have arts and crafts vendors. This one caught our attention. All of these items were carved by chainsaw. I particularly enjoyed the two crows sign which said: "Two Old Crows Live Here". It almost came home with us. Instead we opted for one of the small bears on the left-hand side. Aren't they cute? I've been wanting one of these for years.
Part of the celebration involved people dressed in period costumes.
Of course there was an encampment with good guys and of course bad guys.
Bill of course had to go speak with the ladies.
However, one of the frontier men was not happy with Bill and wanted to call him out.
Fortunately they found another lost soul to have a gunfight with.
A panoramic view from the train of the encampment.
Here's our little friend that came home with us. Fortunately, we didn't have to buy him a ticket.
Along the scenic highway there are numerous cabins and resorts with rooms, etc.
On the train we could order a home-made dessert prepared by the Lighthouse Inn for our return trip. As we approached the area where the Lighthouse Inn is, the train stopped to meet the staff and pick up the ordered desserts. They were delicious. Bill got apple pie and I got a turtle cheesecake. Yum Yum!
