Again we got in the car and took a drive, just looking around the area, anyhow, along the drive we saw a sign to this Park, always a fun thing to do so we were off to check it out.
Yes she had to sign us in, but that is one way to keep parks like this open, usage, plus a small donation. One thing this one lacked was a map explaining what some of the ruins where, otherwise it was good.
I hope you can read this one and the others as they help to explain what took place here.
On the way out we could see a lot of mine trailings, evidence of open mining.
This is called a Salamander, formed from elements during the blast furnace operation.
This explains it for you.
We believe this is the ruins of one of the blast furnaces, reason we would have liked a map, other reason Jo is lost with out a map, so when they don't have one she is a little disappointed.

The Kiln was built in 1936, there was a metal plaque near the doorwith the date on it.
