We were going to Cedar Breaks Nat's Monument BUT due to a landslide the road was closed; so we saw a sign to Kolob Reservoir. Off we went.
Down the road you can see where it was blocked off with barriers; we couldn't see the slide itself.
This photo is out of order but we ran into this guy up near the top of the mountain. He must have had one heck of a ride going down (hope his brakes don't fail).
You can see we were climbing. The scenery was really beautiful.
We would stop every so often just to take in the view.
Of course out altimeter was in the motorhome so we don't know how high up we were going. Needless to say I have since moved the altimeter to the Jeep.
More scenery
The colors of the landscape really stand out.
More of Mother Nature's handiwork
This subdivision is about a couple of hundred feet below where we were. These ARE NOT little cabins, they are huge homes. In the far background is the town of Cedar City.
We don't know what is in the air but there seems to be a lot of haze hanging over the mountains
SURPRISE! Yes, this is snow. It seems when we got our hail storm they got snow up here.
The town is Cedar City is wayyyyyyyyyy down below.
You have to look real hard on the road but about an inch from the left is the guy on the bicycle.
