Rainy Lake, Voyageurs National Park

The Voyageur was piloted by a Forest Ranger, our guide was also a Ranger, both well versed in the area.
Very shortly into our trip we saw our first Bald Eagle.
Loons were seen along the way.
We made a stop on Little American Island, here Jo is listening to our guide (Megan)  tell us what made this Island so important. She said that the Seine River fault ran through Little American Island; that caused a gold rush, which was not very prosperous.
Yep, I do get artsy-craftie once in awhile, used to do more of it, getting old I guess.
 Our second Eagle
 Yep a third Eagle
Had to show Jo how to do it.
