Shields River Valley

As we came down the mountain we entered Shields River Valley. This is a mountain chain called the Crazy Mountains which is east of the valley.

Another photo of the mountains. Look at the solid white snow-capped peaks. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!

A sign depicting the historical importance of the area.

This is a statute of Thunder Jack (a very prominent historical trapper in the Valley).

Panoramic photo of the valley.

As we neared the interstate we crossed the Yellowstone River. As you can see the river is so  very high throughout the entire area.

This statute was at the side of the entrance at the RV Park we stayed at in Bozeman. You be the judge.  I asked the woman who owns the park what the significance of the wolf was, she told me it was the sculptor's first attempt at a bear. What does it look like to you?

This little Robin with sitting up in a tree as we were walking around the RV park. He has something in his beak but I can't tell if it's something to eat or something to build a nest. The robins around here seem to be much bigger than the ones I see around the house at home.

Just a photo of the RV Park. It was a nice RV Park, not huge but it was located at the east end of downtown Bozeman.
