On the way via Highway 16A, one of the overlooks gives you a nice view of Mt Rushmore, so we had to stop for the Kodak moment.
Yes we see you too!
We got lucky and found one of the Buffalo herds, Mom leading young one across the road, they don't look, it is your job as the driver of the car.
I could not get the whole herd in one picture, there were a lot of them in this herd.
I was not getting out of the car to take this picture, the BIG one on the left was snorting, as if he was unhappy we were in his way.
Another attempt at getting most of the herd in one picture.
Prong Horn are abundant in this part of the country, they are the second fastest animal, with great eye site.
Jo's friend was mooching some food, yes Jo had plenty so she thought, he cleaned her out.
The drive on Iron Mountain Road is very interesting and has some narrow tunnels, we just came through one, and stopped at Needle Point Rock.
A view at the needle eye, this is one tall rock.
In a pick-up you would need to bring the mirrors in to clear this tunnel
The scenery here is great, I like driving these roads it is so nice.
Nice rainbow this one afternoon
Here's the other end, also notice the second one.
