Eagle Info from Lake Boat Rides

Look at the size of an eagles claw. I bet it would make a good back scratch er

The bone of an eagle's head. Quite interesting.

Look at the size of the eye socket. I wonder if this is where/why the expression "eagle eye" originated.

Quite a cute story. When the park service personnel check on the baby eaglets for their banding, shots, etc. they go up and get them out of the nest. This dogs toy was found in one of the eagle nests.

Does anybody want to volunteer to go give an eagle a manicure or pedicure?

This eagle is waiting for someone to come up and visit. Aren't they a magnificent bird?

This is the process of checking the eaglets. They check their health and band them. One person climbs up to the nest, then places the eaglet in the orange bag and lowers it down for examination.

The baby eaglet doesn't look very happy does he/she?

Here he/she appears to have settled down somewhat.

End of boat tour, back to shore.
